The first minor-leaguer to reach five victories, Bauer lost Tuesday for the first time this season. … SS John McDonald received his second intentional walk in his last three starts Tuesday. Martinez allowed one run in one inning in his lone major league appearance this season. IF Geoff Blum (strained side muscle) was moved to the 60-day disabled list to clear a spot for Corbin on the 40-man roster. … LF Jason Kubel (illness) was a late scratch, so Gerardo Parra started and had a single and an RBI groundout. Parra had hits in all four games of the Miami series, and he has hit safely in eight of his last nine. Kubel has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games.
