Right handed pitcher Duaner Sanchez has agreed on a one year contract with the New York Mets. Sanchez is coming off shoulder surgery which caused him to miss the entire 2007 season. He will be battling for a spot in the Mets rotation, and if he is healthy and throws the ball like he is capable of, he will probably land a spot in the bullpen.

We all want to forget the end to the 2007 season as the Mets had one of the biggest choke jobs in Major League Baseball history. The 2008 season will be here soon, and we can all put 07 behind us. Will the Mets have enough fire power and pitching to compete in 08? I’m going to say yes they will, and they will make it to the playoffs as well.
